Sprinter Sport & Style

Sprinter is now Spain’s largest sportswear manufacturer and retailer with a host of top branded and own label products.

An early project Chris Richards carried out in conjuction with a top website design company in Barcelona over 10 years ago and although he no longer works on the project and it has developed extensively over the ensuing years, the framework that he designed remains in place. 

Sprinter had been an extremely successful sportswear, physical stores only retail outlet with many of its own product lines as well as stocking all the top manufacturers such as Adidas, Nike and Puma etc., with exclusive products, when following JD Sports taking a controlling interest, the decision was taken to start selling online.

The project development was helped by Chris, as a native English speaker, with his website development expertise, his business and financial background as well as being able to converse well in Spanish to be able to liaise with JD Sports, it made it a good fit that enabled the site to be developed much more quickly, whilst suiting the requirements of all parties.

It was and remains, a pure e-commerce website with full online sales functions and with a huge number of stock items, it needed some careful and well-structured design and planning, including stock control and shipping.

Chris also put in place a highly sophisticated SEO process, that in the early days of the project, resulted in high Google rankings for many of the top selling products.
